Footsteps With Jesus

Walking and hiking has always been my time for reflection, but now, 223 miles into Footsteps with Jesus, it’s become something more. When I first had the idea for this app, I wanted to connect daily movement with faith – to make every step a reminder of Jesus’ journey. But now, I’ve experienced firsthand how this simple idea can transform the way we walk through life. It really has served as my daily devotional.

Most of my miles aren’t on epic trails or grand adventures. They’re woven into my daily routine – walks between meetings, shopping trips to Costco, or while clearing my mind after a long day. And yet, they’ve taken on new meaning. Knowing that my steps align with Jesus’ ministry turns the ordinary into something intentional. Every milestone isn’t just a distance marker, it’s a chance to pause and reflect.

Jesus didn’t walk just to get from place to place. Every step He took was toward something – toward healing, toward teaching, toward sacrifice. That realization has changed how I approach my own journey.

More Than Just Steps

I didn’t build this app just for others, I built it for myself, too. And after walking 223 miles with it, I can say with certainty: this experience is more than I imagined.

Walking with faith changes everything. It transforms an everyday habit into a spiritual practice. Whether it’s a quiet moment of reflection, a reminder of Jesus’ journey, or simply the knowledge that each step has meaning, Footsteps with Jesus has helped me see walking differently.

I still have 1437 miles left in the (first) Footsteps journey, and I’m excited to keep going. Not just to see where Jesus’ journey leads next, but to see what lessons unfold along the way.
